This is a full one-hour class introducing yoga for tight hips. Instructor Rachel Scott's clear narration guides us through a range of motion in the hips, groin, hamstrings, and back. The sequence is designed to increase flexibility around the pelvis and open hips that otherwise tighten easily from sitting for long periods of time. For some people, tight hips can become such a problem that even sitting or walking can bring lower back pain. About Rachel Scott

Rachel began practising yoga in 1998 and has dedicated her career to yoga education - teaching students and training teachers. She is currently the Director of Teachers' College and Development at YYoga Canada. Calling herself a "nerdy academic and creative artist", she believes that yoga is as much about what you learn as it is how you learn. As such, she loves training teachers and empowering them to teach dynamically and creatively. Yoga is after all a pathway for evolving our physical and spiritual wellbeing, and this process won't be possible without self-awareness and a space for growth and imagination.
